Re: Question for Terry
In Response To: Re: Question for Terry ()

Thx, Terry, He would have been wounded from Hampton Springs, Fl on route to Camp Wildcat in Madison, Florida., on February 5th, 1864. I am looking stongly at the USS DeSoto. There appears to be a number of Confederate deserters in Taylor County where he was wounded by bushwackers. It could be that the deserters anixous to have the contents of the wagon train wounded him and them took him to the Yankees who took him to Key West, Fl. Two Confederats escorted the small wagon train from Hampton Springs, (Taylor County) One was killed and the other one wounded. Thx Again.
