Terry, I am researching a particular soldier of the 29th Cav. Bn of Georgia who was wounded in North Florida and taken prisoner of February 5, 1864. He would later show up at a hospital at Key West, Fl where he would later die.

I would guess that the deck logs of that particular ship that took him to Key West, Fl might have made an entry. Going to the NARA in DC and looking on the deck logs is NOT the issue. The issue is what USS could it have been? I suspect that it was one in the Gulf Squad. I have reason to think that the ship was in or around the Taylor County area of Florida at that time.
