Re: HELP NEEDED to prove SIGNIFICANT MOH Discovery

Thanks very much for the input Frank and Henry. I will write Congress and contact the webmaster.

Frank, your story of the cannons obviously must be why today we use the term that people act like "loose cannons." hehehe

Robinson definately was on the USS St Louis, and at Donelson his ship was Foote's flag ship. (Although not so at Henry.)They may have known each other. I have seen some of Foote's many official reports on the net by can not find any where his mentioning recommending any of the several Medals of Honor that came out of actions at Forts' Henry or Donnelson.

The only thing I can find is a very vague reference that Robinson and the others were recommended for bravery "at various actions," and no notes whatsoever about WHAT THOSES ACTIONS WHERE or his role in them.

I also can not locate any official reports of Lt..or LT Commander Leonard Paulding who was the Captain of the USS St Louis at the times involved or his comments about Robertson or other MOH actions at the time. (Paulding was promted to LT Cmdr shortly after the Forts battles)

The search continues....
