I am doing some research on how the United States Navy fed its shipboard crews. I am interested in finding what the rations were for the Union and Confederate navies as well as samples of recipies used by both sides. Of particular interest are any documentary resources that might be available such as regulations governing the purchasing, delivery, storage, and preparation of rations aboard naval vessels during the period 1861-65.
