I've personally never seen an example of this bag (all leather with roller buckle on flap and shoulder strap) with a pocket. Hopefully Mr. Ron Black will see your post and will respond. I'd say he is the most knowledgable that I have seen on this board. He is a detail freak. And if there is reason for this pocket I would expect him to be able to provide an explanation. Number 5, who would have carried this bag in a full crew would not have had any input on a misfire scenario. So I can't offer any reason for this pocket. How big is the pocket?
