I am talking about the leather bag that numbers 5 and 7 use to carry the powder and projectile in. The purpose of the bag is to protect the powder charge when moving from the cassion to the cannon. The gunners haversack is the same, issued to all types of guns in the field artillery. I have seen a reproduction that has an inside pocket and that is what I want to know about. What goes in the pocket. I have some ideas but would like to get some other input.
