Lewelleyn Frame is buried at Confederate Mound on the former ground occupied by Camp Douglas. He died of typhoid fever, death date given as Feb. 2nd and Feb. 6th, 1863. Looks as if he was among a party of prisoners taken in Greenbriar County, Nov. 26, 1862. For instance, Martin Frame, captured same day and place, is clearly designated a member of Co. "L", 14th Virginia Cavalry, while Lewellyn is not. He's described as a guerrilla or ranger.

I don't see anyone named Elliott Frame in the military records or the 1860 census. If he should have been noted as William Elliott Frame of Braxton County, I don't see a military record under that name, either.
