This is an excellent website devoted to Camp Chase. The link below is to 1863 and the story of Dr. Camden of Weston, WV.
I tried to find one of my favorite entries in the chronicle, but couldn't, it went something like "Brought in prisoner from western Virginia, a leatherstocking, for shooting Union pickets". Go to the main page, they have a lot concerning the Confederate cemetary there. A lot of WV political prisoners were sent there and are still there.
