FRANK JONES DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS. Frank Jones, 81 years old, died today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Peter Stordahl, 1777 Lake Shore drive, after a long illness. He was born April 17, 1847 in Germany and came to the United States in 1866, settling in Wisconsin where he lived about one year. He then moved to Fruitland township where he was married to Miss Elizabeth Todd in 1872. They moved to Muskegon in 1904. Mrs. Jones died January, 1928. Mr. Jones is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Anna Jenkins, Mrs. Ella Stordahl, Mrs. Lillian Stock, of Muskegon, Mrs. Benj. Hanson, of Whitehall, Mrs. Letta Abstein and Miss Lottie Jones of Chicago; three sons, Frank and Fred Jones of Muskegon and William Jones of Midland, Mich.; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

JONES—The funeral service for Frank Jones will be held 3:30 o’clock Monday afternoon at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Peter Stordahl, 1777 Lake Shore Drive, Rev. S. McCurdy officiating and interment will be in Fruitland Cemetery. Inquiries may be made at the Balbirnie Funeral Church. Friends wishing to view the remains may dos o at the residence beginning Sunday noon.

Live 56 Years in Muskegon County; Celebrate Golden Wedding Date. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones, who reside east of the city on the Cedar Springs road, have never acquired fame and never made much stir in the world, but it is the millions like them who make up the backbone of our American citizenship. They have resided in Muskegon county for 56 years and quietly but with splendid patience and faith have done their share in the up-building of the community. Mr. Jones was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, in 1847. He came from the Fatherland at the age of 18, and soon after his arrival here located in Muskegon county. He secured land in Fruitland township and fifty years ago was married here. Mrs. Jones, who is 68 years of age, was born in Ohio. They resided in Fruitland until 18 years ago, and resided in Muskegon until they purchased their present farm in Muskegon township, a few years ago. While a resident of Fruitland, Mr. Jones served his community as treasurer and supervisor, holding two terms in each office. To Mr. and Mrs. Jones were born nine children, all of whom are living. They are: Frank Jones of Muskegon, Fred Jones of Muskegon, William Jones of Midland, Mich., Mrs. David Jenkins of Muskegon, Mrs. B. T. Hanson of Whitehall, Mrs. P. E. Stordahl of Muskegon, Mrs. C. E. Absten of Chicago, Mrs. Louis Stock of Detroit, and Miss Lottie Jones, who resides with the parents. Mr. and Mrs. Jones recently celebrated their fiftieth anniversary.

MRS. FRANK JONES TAKEN BY DEATH. Had Made Her Home in Muskegon County Nearly 70 Years. Mrs. Frank Jones, 73 years old, 1777 Lake Shore drive, a resident of this county since 1858, died last night following an illness of two months. Mrs. Jones was born in Ohio Aug. 3, 1854. Four years later she moved with her parents to Michigan, settling in Fruitland township. She was married to Frank Jones in 1873 at Muskegon. The couple lived in Fruitland township until 24 years ago when they moved to Muskegon. Surviving are her husband; six daughters, Mrs. David Jenkins, Mrs. Peter Stordahl, Mrs. Louis Stock of Muskegon, Mrs. C. F. Abstein and Miss Lottie Jones of Chicago and Mrs. Ben Hanson of Whitehall; three sons, A. T. and F. A. Jones of Muskegon, and W. H. Jones of Midland, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Minna Lavermore of Grand Rapids, and one brother, James E. Todd of Muskegon.

JONES—The funeral service for Mrs. Frank Jones will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peter E. Stordahl, 1777 Lake Shore Drive, Rev. Selden R. McCurdy, D.D., officiating. Interment will be in Fruitland cemetery.
