Can anyone confirm my suspicions that Silas W. Harrington, born in Baltimore, about 1845, and who had served in the Baltimore Light Artillery of the Confederate Army, was the very same Silas W. Harrington, who later enlisted in the United States Marine Corps (in 1864), and who died in 1871?
Both indicated that they were natives of Baltimore, born about 1845, and the time frame of service, first in the CS Army, and later in U.S. service, seems to indicate that they were one and the same person.
I would also like to know what his middle name was. Thank you for any further data on Harrington.
