Having been assigned to 1st ANGLICO for the last 4 years of my service, I served extensively with Army units... so, I'll take your Semper Fi and return a HOOOAHH. ;-)

My research into the early history of the 1st KCV continues... I need to stop researching and start writing... what I have found so far makes for a very interesting story.

Local group in Butler (Amen Society of the AME Church) is dedicating a statue/monument to commemorate the 1st KCV and Island Mound in October... will post on this board as I know more.
