In 1870 1 child Wm. G., age 1, born in MO and living with him was Sarah R. Pelot age 45, SC. Didn't find him in the Missouri Archives Civil War Soldiers database. There was a F. M. Pelot, 36, SC at Marshall, Saline Co., MO in 1860.
