Found a better copy of his pension index card
He is listed as musician, Co. C, 22nd Ind. and principal musician, 22nd Ind. and what I believe to be post-Civil War service as service with US Army general recruiting service and in Co. B, Music Boys, US Army (likely as an instructor/enlisted supervisor)
Notation at bottom of card says he died Feb. 22, 1916 at the National Military Home of Indiana so its very likely he is buried in the Marion, Ind. National Cemetery
