I have found a few of my relatives listed in Indiana units in the "Soldiers and Sailors of the Civil War" database. But I have not been able to find them in their supposed regiments on the various websites devoted to regimental histories. I'd like to locate their index cards, but first need to know if "Soldiers and Sailors" is correct:

Eckman, George Washington, b. 1822, Co. B, 47th IN Inf., Pvt. raised to Cpl.
Isentrager, John P., b. 1833, Co. K, 7th IN Inf, Pvt.
Isentrager, William L., b. 1841, Co. M, 9th In Cav, rank unk.

No one in the family has dates of death for these men, so we don't know if they made it through the war or not.
