Re: Eckman and Isentrager in IN units

John Isentrager of Dearborn County enlisted Sept. 13, 1861 as pvt., Co. K, 7th Ind. Infantry Rgt. Nov. 14, 1863 transferred to Veteran Reserve Corps; no further information. He had have been disabled in some fashion to transfered to the VRC but Indiana AG Record do not indicate how or where.
as of 1880 Cenus John was a farmer in St. Croix, Wis. with wife Nancy and daughters Rebeca, 12, and Mall. Martha, 10. In 1910 John (only) (middle intitial P.) listed as living in Linn, Iowa and 1910 listed as living in Indianapolis (I can't read the 1910 on-line image so I don't know if other family members with him.

William L. Isentrager of Rush County enlisted on March 1, 1864 in Co. M. 9th Ind. Cavalry Rgt. He was discharged on June 15, 1865. In 1880 census he was laborer in Taylorsville, Ind. with wife Sarah E. and son William C., 11.
