I got the date of death from a book written on the Yount family by a member of the family who was a professional geneaologist. That being said, the book is not known for being error free, and it would not surprise me if the date of death that is in the book is an error. There are two possible spellings of his first name in the book, both being different than the name that is in the records at Wilmington National Cemetary.

I had tried to look him up in the Adjutant General's report and could not find him, I will look the information up again with the page number you have given me.

I also ordered his service record card from the national archives using the link from this message board.

I thank you for all your help so far, this has been the only place I have found to get this information.
