As a last resort, you can visit the National Archives in Washington, DC and pour through the envelopes containing the 34 Illinois Thomas Scott's Compiled Service Records.

That will, of course, take time. But their records are not on Microfilm that I'm aware of and only exist on hard copy.

I also walked through the 34 found on the web, but found none matching County or date of enlistment.
