I read with interest the information by Mr. Crompton; but I was only relaying information given to me that Mr. Crompton had posted on his own site. Mr. Crompton is a very dedicated researcher in Australia and is highly regarded by many, including myself, and he is correct, Morris Wetzler was born in Austria, not Australia; but his own website and the Civil War Database does have him listed as the donor of that information. Perhaps an error on someones part. As he says, however, we are all human and often information supplied to us is incorrect; and as such should be corrected when it is found to be so. That is why everyone researching should cooperate and share information; to dig out the facts and preserve them where they are available to everyone; instead of competing. As for me, any information I have is freely available for the asking by anyone, including Mr. Crompton.
