Gosh, if my memory was still functionable but a guess at it would be 6000. Deaths got to be so bad that bodies were just dumped in the river and many were sold for medical disection, easily done since the camp bordered a medical college.
The report I read some time ago, was about the deliberet destruction to coverup the deaths soon after charges were brought against the Andersonville prison commandant.
