Jim, I agree that this discussion doesn't belong on the Illinois board. However, the question I've wrestled with for several hours now has been locating this particular family anywhere on the 1860 or 1850 census of Tennessee. Also, Mr. Graham believes these men served in Cox's Tennessee cavalry, which was recruited in the Tennessee Valley among the western counties of the state. Perhaps someone with knowledge of the Graham family or the 10th Tennessee Cavalry will repond on the Tennessee board.

I cannot help further unless someone can bring forth some specifics that can be confirmed in an accessible source document.
