I have been dormant for some time in reference to this subject. I find it rather odd that in cemeteries throughout the South one can find these crosses, weathered or not, standing the test of time. What happened to the ones in Madison? Don't know about names being incorrect, but in lists I have seen, there is confusion between the 1st Alabama and the 1st Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee regiments. Still no total list of prisoners at Camp Randall. Its someplace in Washington most likely-as it was left out of the Official Records for space constraints.
