Thanks again for the detailed and thorough analysis. I agree with you that it's highly unlikely that William D. Argrabright was at or died at Ft. Delaware in March 1863. I am not ready quite yet to reject the report that his death was "in prison," but how he got to a Union prison by capture or desertion in the Jan-March 1863 window I cannot explain; and if it were a Confederate prison by court-martial or confinement following an apprehension from desertion/AWOL, I have not found any record yet of that. In any case, he died of disease in March 1863. If your search into Tape 47 adds light to this discussion we will both be a little smarter. I am amazed that we can spend so much time and effort to sort out the service of these long-gone veterans and, for me, find the effort worthwhile. Thanks for the effort on this.
