Octavio, I certainly would like to find out further details of this vessel, but I would have to dig deeper into archival material, such as deck logs of Union Navy vessels which accompanied her, and other such documents. I am currently involved in other projects, relating to the Civil War sailors, both Union and Confederate, which is providing me with much additional data. I recently located the date of death, and burial site of a Confederate sailor from the CSS ALABAMA, whose widow, Cornelia, was residing in Massachusetts, in 1890. The source of this information was, surprisingly enough, the 1890 Veterans' Census. Although this census was supposed to be of all the Union veterans who were still living at that time, some Confederate names were inadvertently included, thankfully.
