David Porter, "Incidents and Anecdotes"

I have seen quoted in several places, a supposed first-hand account by Admiral Porter of the sinking of the Greyhound by a coal torpedo, including him saying to Butler, "Torpedo--I know the sound" and rushing on deck to find the boat in flames. I have his article "Torpedo Warfare" from the North American Review, and although the incident is mentioned, it does not have the dramatic first-hand account. I think it might be in a book or article by Porter called "Incidents and Anecdotes of the Civil War" but the places that quote the account are so poorly sourced that I can't find it. Does anyone know the whereabouts of Porter's article or book or any primary source that gives this account?
