Sorry, I mis-typed. In the above message, the third sentence should read "An account by Porter is meaningless without corroborating evidence." That is, unless you can find someone else who will back up what Porter says, you should mistrust it entirely. And beware of people who repeat Porter's tales - that is not corroboration.
