Would anyone have any information on the personnel that served on the Diana while under the command of Capt. Semmes. I know they were captured during the withdrawal of Gen Taylor to Franklin. Col. Sibley fired the bridge over Bayou Yokley before the Diana crew had crossed. I do believe my great grandfather was also captured at this time as his records show him as serving in the Semmes Battery. Also, while Capt Semmes and other officers were being sent to Ft Monroe, does anyone know for certain where the captured crew were taken....I believe to the pow facility in Alexandria.....Can anyone shed any light on this matter....
