As far as I can tell the Drayton's were well known American opera singers and they were certainly in England between 1861 and 1869, probably in Liverpool. However I haven't found any connection with the Confederacy. If anything I would think, as he was born in Philadelphia, he was more of a Union man. Born in 1822 and died in New York in Auguast 1872. Check out the New York Times website for his obituary, issue dated 1 August 1872. You could try checking with Liverpool history sites, as you know at one point it was estimated that there were more Confederate flags flying in Liverpool than Richmond!
