Alice, The "MILL BOY" was not a fighting ship. She was a Civilian Transport Vessel, which after her initial Army Quartermaster Corps was ordered into continued military service. Under Martial law, this ship was pressed into further service. She sank while grinding grain for the Federal Army, and transporting supplies.
