What a interesting fellow! A Confederate Marine serving aboard the CSS Virginia during its battle with the USS Moniter, then part of a covert mission to Charleston in 1863 to overtake a Union ship. Very neat stuff!

I'm sending off for the pension records tommorow. Hopefully there will be some good info in them.

How would I go about contacting David Sullivan? I would like to see if he's got any info on Abraham Bessant. I also just sent Mabry Tyson from the CSS Virginia website a e-mail about Bessant.

Maybe some more info will come to light.
