U.S.S. Muscoota is listed in correct alphabetical placement in the index on page 20 of Series II, Volume I.
I got to wondering what the word Muscoota means. The Delaware Indians used it to describe a flat land or place of no definition; the Manitou used it to describe a place of rushes, as a riverbank.
I'll get back here with location of U.S.S. Muscoota referred to U.S.S. Florida.
