Lady Slocumb

Recently found a reference to "The Lady Slocumb", an 8in columbiad attributed to Selma manufacture in 1863. The gun was used by the Washington Artillery at Spanish Fort and now rests before Memorial Hall in New Orleans. Does anyone have more info on this gun? Anything would be appreciated. If this info is correct this gun would have been finished, or in work, prior to Catesby Jones taking over the Naval Gun Foundry in Selma. Information on the Lady Slocumb could give indication of the foundry's early capability.

Thanks
Benny Austin
