I am not aware of that battle. I can't remember the name of the company in Quincy who built cannon during the war but I do remember reading that Grierson took some of their cannon on his ride through the south. THey were very light weight and he designed them to be used by calvary units. Smoothbores as I recall and not really big bores but that is what made them usefull to horse units that would not normally have draft horses to pull the guns and accroutraments.
