I am looking for more information on five Pearsall brothers from Wisconsin who served with the Union. Freeman, Luman, Samuel, and James Ira in the 16th Wisconsin Infantry.....and William Henry in the 1st Wisconsin Cavalry. Spelling "Pearsoll" in some records.

My minimal research indicates Freeman was captured at Shiloh. Also James Ira drafted September 1864, mustered out June 1865.......Sherman's march to the sea?

Freeman was mustered out November of 1864. Where might he have been held prisoner after Shiloh, and when exchanged?
