When I first saw the several examples of these letters that were shown online, and at Ebay, I was quite excited about them. However, reading the examples shown, and from the places mentioned, I became quite suspicious that they were not from our soldier, buried in Australia, as the letter writer seemed to be in places where our own soldier's regiment never went to. Additionally, the letter writer had actually indicated that he was from a regiment of a different state altogether. On doing further research,and on contacting the seller of the letters, he finally confirmed that it was not written by Andrew Jackson Remshard (who had used the name Andrew Clark while in service), but by another soldier of the same name, Andrew Clark.
