Recently some 25 or so letters were put up for sale, at eBay, with the dealer stating that the letters, written and signed by "Andrew Clark" were written by Pennsylvania soldier Andrew Jackson Remshard, who served in the 1st Pennsylvania Artillery under the name of "Andrew Clark." Remshard/Clark is buried in Australia, but, after checking out a number of sources, as well as the signatures of these soldiers, and with other facts found, it is clear that the person named "Andrew Clark" (Remshard) and who is buried in Australia, is definitely not the person of the same name who wrote the letters that were sold on eBay. Unfortunately, the letters were broken up and sold to several different buyers, and I will be glad to provide full evidence to show that they were definitely two different soldiers.
