He is listed as Joseph Trautman in the Ohio Roster but they list no discharge date or place. It is possible that he took sick in the field and was sent home to Camp Dennison where he deserted.

I checked the National SUVCW database and it shows Jospeh Trautman, Co B 70th OVI is buried in Mt Calvary Cemetery in Franklin County, Columbus OH Born: 1826 Died: 1883 The record indicates he has no stone or marker. Lot 131 Section B Grave# 7
