Dec. 9, 1861-Feb. 4, 1863 cpl., Co. D, 82nd Ohio Infantry Rgt. discharged for disability at Philadelphia, Pa.

Dec. 15, 1863-July 15, 1865 pvt., co. D, 20th Ohio Infantry Rgt.

June 30, 1880 his widow applied for a pension (application #276147/no certificate issued which means her pension request was rejected) The pension index card for Lenora states that Allen is dead but gives no date.

Allen's parents probably William and Diadema or Didama Willis and in 1850 living at Crawford, Coshocton County, Ohio. His father was also a Civil War veteran who died on Sept. 10, 1877 at Alamo Twownship, Kalamazoo County, Mich.

Allen was married May 24, 1857 in Marion County, Ohio to Lenora J. Barton.
