Hi Kent......to go from a Captain to a pvt. and Norwich, NY is no where near Albany, NY. If he did die during this second enlistment.....why didn't his wife apply for a pension....??? The wife and children did move back to NY, (Albany and Auburn).....but he just can not be found either in Ohio or NY. The Isaac in the 48th was born in 1831..and this second fellow was born about 1838.. Mistakes were made on dates in those days..but 7 years is a long stretch.. This is a great mystery...... I am coming down on the side that these were 2 different guys..
