Had Jacob died during the war, it is "possible" that his parents would have been named in his Compiled Military Service Record. Since he survived the war, it is unlikely, though not impossible that they are named in his service record.

If his parents, siblings or other relatives are listed in his military records, it is most likely you would find this information in his pension application file. BUT, there are no guarantees until you actually order and review the file.
