Eustache Lemire

I"ve been doing some genealogy research on an ancestor of mine named EUSTACHE LEMIRE or LEMYRE (anglicized spelling of French pronunciation may be LEMEER ). He may have been known as Eustache Justin Lemire or Justin Lemire.

I am atempting to find out about his stay in Minnesota; when he arrived there from Quebec, etc. I recently came across some info that I am attempting to confirm. Eustache Lemire apparently served as a soldier in the Civil War as he is reputed to have been receiving a military pension for his service. I don't really know how to confirm his military service. He may also have had a brother named Louis who may also have served inthe Civil War.

Other info I have on him:
Born: Aaug 10 1846 in Nicolet, QC to Joseph-Alexis Lemire & Theotiste Richard
Married June 14, 1866 in Crow River, MN to Zepherine (Josephine) Elemond
Died: Nov 13, 11914 in St-Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba, Canada

His mother passed away in Aug, 1878 in Rocky Run, MN (a French-Canadain settlement that no longer exists whihc was located near Winsted, MN) Eustache Lemrie's first 4 or 5 children were born in or around Winsted, MN prior to the family's departure for southern Manitoba where they took up homestead; this was around 1876 or 1877.

Any additional info on Eustache Lemire, his sibblings and/or parents in Minnesota would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
