The Tinnitty Co. on Lorenzo Hart's headstone refers to Dinwiddie County, Virginia where the Battle of Five Forks was fought. It has been misspelled on the headstone. The Battle of Five Forks was part of the Appomattox Campaign of March-April, 1865. While the battle took place on April 1, there were other engagements leading up to that.

Of interest might be the fact that on Saturday, September 14, 2013, the General John A. Logan Camp No. 1, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will conduct a ceremony to recognize the service of eight soldiers from the Civil War buried in the Horton Cemetery. Hart is one of them.
