I am not related to Daniel Flanagin - but VERY CURIOUS about who he was or his CIVIL WAR duty in the Michigan 10th Calvary. May I ask you about the 9th Tennessee Calvary and your ancestor? I thought Tennessee was a Confederate State? How could Tennessee be fighting along with Michigan?
I see Daniel was only 18 when he enlisted and I guess the Calvary PAID more and maybe there was a Calvary recruiter in the area at the time?
Daniel is burried in the local cemetary - Atwood - Antrim City Cemetary.
