In Response To: 1st U.S. Cavalry in Detroit ()

Dear Sir: This is my first trip to this site and I see that you have info on the 1st Mich. Cavalry. My great grandfather Charles F. Hagerman of Cinstantine, Mich. went into the First Mi. Cavalry at age 15yrs. 2mo as his Mother Ermina nee Deal Hagerman signed for him to go in. He was first in Co. M and then Co.F. He is buried in Constantine and I, for many years, see to it that there is a red geranium on his grave every year. He still has the G.A.R. star flagholder. Sir, where would I find pictures of the First Mi. Cav. Co. M.or F. that I might be able to get a copy of the pix to put in the book I did of my family history. Also Charles' uncle Noah D. Hagerman was in the 19 Infantry would you know of any pictures of that outfit?

Thank you so very much for your time.

I am sincerely,

Kaye M. Hagerman-Stewart
