Hello Patricia, What a Small World!! Yes, John Doane is My Wifes Grandmothers Grandfather. My wifes Grandmothers maiden name was Doane- Her married name was Dora (Doane) Hughs. To be honest we dont know much more than that since Dora died in 1992 and there are no more relatives to fill in the blanks. If you know any more we would love to learn! Thanks Jay Harden
