Re: 19th Mich at Battle of Gilgal Church

Hello, Janet,

Colonel Eli A. Griffin is included among the four soldiers of the 19th Michigan killed at Gilgal (also known as Golgotha) Church. His burial place is not specified. Besides Sgt. Clay and Pvt. Crippen, the fourth soldier is 2nd Lt. George Livingston (Company I); he died on July 1, 1864 at Chattanooga from wounds received at Gilgal. Buried in National Cemetery, Chattanooga.

If you need the names of those killed at Cassville and New Hope Church, let me know.
