Re: relatives in Union units of Civil War?

To B. Robbins Harwood:

A Google search of 1st Assistant Surgeon F.H. Harwood led me to your 2006 post in this forum. Is he in fact one of your ancestors? If so, for the purpose of my Antietam research I'd appreciate any information about him that you can pass along. I'm specifically interested in knowing what family history was passed down about his interaction with Clara Barton during the battle, of which he wrote in great detail in an 1883 article.

Thanks,

Steve

"Oh,I almost forgot,I also have the pictures of both Oliver and the surgeon in our family history book.It is so different to put a face next to the historical account of the two heroes. It really makes one think just what these people had to endure for all of these long years.I must say thank you to all that fought for our cause."

Respectfully,

B.Robbins Harwood
