Interesting! I personally believe all of us are related, your Edeline and our Edelens, Edlens, Edelins, etc.. I read that they werre Normans, the name beginning with Edlin Fitz de Burgh, then his son was named FitzEdelin or something like that and evolved later to other spellings. So we are French or a mixture of French and Norse (Norman).
