Wow, where are all the messages? Well anyway, here is something to just post: my ancestor Joseph B. Edelen was a Lt. in the Md. Militia before the war and in Co. "H", the "Washington Vols", 7th Va Inf at least during he first year of the war. After that I have not found anything. I wish I knew more about him or could somehow find a pic of him. I have other ancestors from Md that served in the CSA alslo.
