Thanks for the reply and links. But I was talking about the State of Maryland's pre-war State Militia that Lincoln had disbanded. Remember, he suspended the Writ of Habeas Corpus (what the heck is that?), arrested the Maryland State Legislature to keep them from suceeding and appointed pro-northern men in their place and declared martial law in Maryland and appointed a military governor, Gen Butler (remember in the song "Maryland, My Maryland; the despot's heel is upon they shore" or something like that).

I am just trying to find out what I can about the pre-war Maryland State Militia. Any ideas?
