Thank you very much sir. I know what you mean about the 2 versions of the AG report. I didn't realize the Missouri Republican or Democrat would carry material on discharges, etc. of Kansas units done in Ks. I've got must of the material from the various Civil War era Ft Scott papers and so far a limited amount from the 2 Leavenworth papers. In your honest opinion, which would you give more credence to-a Rgt. organization appearing in Burke or one in an Apr 62 newspaper issue?

You must be having fun with Lane's Bde. I finally found that 13th biennel booklet, at Mid-Continent Library in Independence. Along with an original muster for Co'A'(#1)/6th Ks Cav I found at KSHS, I'm only missing a complete roster for the initial Co'B' and the, depending on source, CPT A. Brown's Co'H'. On the later, what do you know concerning 8th Ks Inf? It became, after some shifting of companies Co'F'/8th. By looking at AG report for Co'F' could I be fairly safe in assuming those enlisted late summer-early fall 61 from Allen Co., Ks, would've originally belonged to 6th Ks prior to the Dec 61/Jan 62 transfer?

Again, thank you for the help. Good luck with Lane's Bde!
